Now let me tell you a little bit about Sanderson and his books. Sanderson’s original novels are what I think he should be primarily known for, and I hope he is someday. No disrespect to Jordan, but Sanderson is too good of an author to be best known for finishing another author’s series. But, a lot of the time when I read about Sanderson on the Internet, he is often described as being most well known for finishing Jordan’s series. Sanderson himself also considers it to be an honor to be finishing Jordan’s series. I have never read Jordan’s books, although I know that they are very popular with fantasy fans. Let me start off by saying something about Sanderson finishing Jordan’s series. Besides these books, he has also written The Way of Kings, some children’s books, and some novellas, and also is finishing Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time series after the passing of Robert Jordan in 2007. The books that I will be reviewing by him are the Mistborn Trilogy, Mistborn: The Alloy of Law (a book with different characters that takes place after the Mistborn Trilogy), Elantris, and Warbreaker. In this post, I will be talking about Brandon Sanderson, an author who I only discovered last year, but is already shooting up my list of favorite fantasy novelists.
